Dr. Boghra is a leading scientist in the field of Dairy Chemistry. He graduated in Dairy Technology from Gujarat Agricultural University, Anand and did Masters in Dairy Technology from NDRI, Kurukshetra University Karnal. He pursued his passion for research and did Docterate in Dairy Chemistry from NDRI, Kurukshetra University Karnal and later joined SMC College of Dairy Science in a year of 1980. He has prepared practical manuals, written book chapters, review, research and technical papers in national and international journals of repute, guided 11 students for their master and doctoral degrees.

His hard work led him to four prestigious awards. He has also worked as Editor of News Letter of Alumni Association of Dairy Science College, Anand for three years. He has handled many research projects financed by State, ICAR, NDDB and Co-operative Dairies and key person in modifying Richmond formula for pricing of milk by 14 Dairy unions of Gujarat state. He holds membership of various dairy organizations and works in area for research work related to analysis methods, waste effluent, biomass development, chemical contaminants and developing test kits for milk and milk product adulteration detection.

New assignment: GCMMF, Gujarat has initiated a research/databank on SNF/TS in cow, buffalo and mixed milk by volumetric method using Richmond formula. The work for all 14 dairy unions is entrusted to me and also to impart thorough training on this method. A training program was organized on 12th May, 2010 for whole day at Vidya Dairy. Sixteen participants have attended the program.
